This prestigious accreditation underscores BTS Research’s commitment to maintaining ethical and scientifically rigorous research practices.

During the recent site visit, the AAALAC International Council commended BTS Research for its exemplary program and highlighted the following key areas:

• Leadership Involvement: The strong commitment of the Institutional Official, who actively participated in the site visit despite a demanding travel schedule, was seen as a clear indication of leadership’s dedication to animal welfare.
• Veterinary Oversight: The consulting Attending Veterinarian was acknowledged for playing a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing quality of the animal care program.
• IACUC Engagement: The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) received praise for its diligent oversight, with detailed program reviews, facility inspections, and comprehensive documentation.
• Animal Well-being: Inspectors noted the visible health and well-being of the animals, reflecting BTS Research’s commitment to superior care standards.

In response to feedback from the site visit, BTS Research swiftly addressed several operational improvements, including enhanced reporting practices, equipment sanitation, and facility repairs. The Council has confirmed that these issues were resolved satisfactorily, and no further recommendations were made.
