BTS Research a well-established, diverse, stable yet growing CRO in beautiful San Diego seeks several dependable and self-motivated interns for 6-month internships with possible full time paid positions offered after that date. Interns will gain valuable experience working for a rapidly growing bio-tech company.
Interns will be trained to perform various cell-based assays in the area of cancer and immunology and become proficient in frequently used techniques. They will learn how to maintain well documented laboratory records. They will learn how to design an experiment and validate a model. Interns may also work on research projects and publish findings in scientific journals.
In return, interns will provide help in lab maintenance, ordering of reagents, drafting of protocols and reports and support on-going studies as per need basis.
Interns will be asked to maintain a consistent schedule and are expected to be punctual. Interns must be able to accurately read, write, and communicate effectively. We are open to creating flexible workloads and are willing to consider applicants with as few as 5 or as many as 40 hours each week with which to work.
An ideal candidate will be a college student or recent graduate who has an interest in cell biology. The position(s) is an excellent chance to gain valuable, real world work experience in the biotech industry and attain professional training documentation of the skills acquired. This will make a solid addition to any resume. Interns can easily work during weekends or during odd hours.
